I started Tired Mums Art Club with one simple mission: to connect with local mums who also struggle trying to fit creativity into their busy lives.

While navigating post-partum, I quickly noticed that my creative practice (drawing) was always the last thing on my list. Which meant it rarely happened at all. And when I did sit down to draw, I sat like a zombie without a single drop of inspiration.

I posted in a local Facebook group for mums, to see if there was any interest in an Art Club for tired mums like me. Turns out, there’s quite a few of us.

And so, Tired Mums Art Club was born.

We hold our monthly meet-ups at Wild Timor Coffee Co in Coburg. It’s completely free, and you can expect good company, good coffee (or chai) and 1.5 hours of uninterrupted creativity.

Honestly, it’s heaven!

I have big dreams for Tired Mums in the coming year. I want to reach as many mums as I possibly can because I wholeheartedly believe that creativity, in any form, can do wonders for the soul.

Especially a tired soul that barely gets the chance to do anything just for themselves.
